Pipe Break

This dining room got flooded in Clarence, NY as a result of a broken pipe.  To the human eye it appears there is no damage. The SERVPRO crew performed a through inspection by testing all areas with moisture meters, made the determination that the dry wall had to be removed when they discovered saturated insulation holding most of the water in the ceiling and walls.  The dining room was staged for removal of wet materials by hanging containment to isolate the affected room and placing floor protection on the hardwood floors.  The crew removed the dry wall, removed the insulation, cleaned the exposed framing and set up air movers and dehumidifiers to dry out the wood to an acceptable level. The entire job is documented with photos, moisture mapping and daily documentation.
